Methodology

How this calculator works

The calculator applies the SAR 45,000 contribution wage ceiling. Legacy Saudi members use 9% employee and 9% employer pension shares. New-system members with no contribution period before 3 July 2024 use the phased 10% shares effective from 1 July 2026. SANED is optionally 0.75% each, while occupational hazards are 2% employer-paid. Non-Saudi workers exclude pension and SANED in this planning model.

Worked example

Reading the result

For a new-system Saudi member with a SAR 12,000 monthly contributory wage after 1 July 2026 and SANED included, the employee estimate is 10% pension plus 0.75% SANED. A legacy member at the same wage uses 9% pension plus 0.75% SANED.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Who uses the new-system rate?+

Select it only for a Saudi worker with no contribution period before 3 July 2024. From 1 July 2026 the phased pension share is 10% for the employee and 10% for the employer.

Does GOSI apply the same way to Saudi and non-Saudi workers?+

No. The calculator separates Saudi and non-Saudi treatment because pension and SANED are not the same as occupational hazards coverage.

What contribution ceiling does the calculator use?+

It applies the official SAR 45,000 maximum contribution wage.

Can the exact payroll result differ?+

Yes. Confirm the worker's GOSI classification, covered wage and payroll month in the official record.
