Methodology

How this calculator works

The calculator converts pay into a monthly amount, adds allowances and taxable benefits, includes annual bonus in the annual income estimate, subtracts editable retirement and deduction assumptions, then applies Namibia resident individual tax bands. Employer retirement contribution is shown separately from employee net pay.

Worked example

Reading the result

If monthly pay is N$28,000 plus N$2,000 allowances and a one-month bonus, the calculator estimates annual taxable income, calculates PAYE, then spreads the tax back into a monthly take-home view.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Does this include Namibia PAYE?+

Yes. The calculator applies progressive annual tax bands to taxable income and shows a monthly equivalent PAYE estimate.

Does it include Social Security?+

The salary calculator has a manual monthly deduction field. Use the separate Namibia Social Security Calculator for a clearer employee and employer SSC estimate.

Does employer retirement reduce take-home pay?+

No. Employer contribution is shown as employer cost, while employee contribution is shown as a deduction.

Can my payslip differ?+

Yes. Benefits, exemptions, payroll timing, retirement-fund rules and employer-specific deductions can change the actual result.
